Welcome to Wakasa Hyounosen

Mt.Hyonosen is one of Japan's 200 famous mountains. It is also the main peak that makes up “Hyonosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park” in the Kinki and Chugoku districts of Japan. Wakasa Town is located at the foot of Mt.Hyonosen, Tottori Prefecture. In winter, ski resorts are open where you can enjoy spectacular views and powder snow, and in the green season, you can enjoy various activities in nature throughout the year, such as camping and mountain climbing..

Tourist Facilities

Hibikinomori Visitor Center

Hibikinomori is the Mt. Hyonosen visitor center. It is a great place to learn about and experience the natural wonders of Mt. Hyonosen. Inside, you can find information on nature, hiking trails, and many other aspects of the park as well as participate in nature-experience programs.

Hyounosen Campers Village

The campground was renamed and reborn in 2023. You can enjoy the nature and wonderful views of the Quasi-National　Park by camping with our extensive facilities and plans. Open　seasonally from spring to fall, many campers use the facility　on holidays with reservations.

Snow Resort Wakasa

The slopes for skiing and snowboarding have been created by　taking advantage of natural topography, and 5 varied courses　can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to advanced skiers.　The ski resort is known for high quality of powder snow,　and you can also see rare frost-covered trees.

Plateau Inn Hyouta-kun

Located halfway up Mt. Hyonosen, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the guest rooms, restaurant, and other parts of the hotel. With plenty of facilities such as meeting rooms and a gymnasium, it is a popular accommodation for families, students, and group travelers.
